Performed: June 1985

The play tells the story of English village life in late Victorian Oxfordshire, Lark Rise re-enacts the first day of harvest. It’s lively picture of typical country life of the period, with music and songs, with a brief flash forward to the 1914-18 war. Our version also includes clog and morris dancing, specially learned by the cast for this production.

The photos from this production were taken at Shibden Hall Folk Museum.
